A Temple of Divine Grace

Shri Varad vinayak Ashtavinayak Ganpati Temple , Mahad Asthvinayak kshtra, Khalapur , Khopoli. This revered temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha, who presides as the principal deity>

According to the Ganesh Purana, the story of Varadvinayak is connected with Rishi Grutsamad (Gritsamada). King Bhima and Queen Gunavati, who had no children, were blessed by Sage Vishwamitra, who gave them the sacred Ekakshara Ganesh Mantra. Through Lord Ganesha's blessings, Prince Rukmangada was born. Later, through a series of divine events involving Indra, Rishi Vachaknavi's wife Mukunda, and Grutsamad, Lord Ganesha appeared before Grutsamad after intense penance. Grutsamad requested that Lord Ganesha remain in the sacred forest forever and bless all devotees who worship Him there. Lord Ganesha accepted the request and manifested as Varadvinayak, the Bestower of Boons. Discovery

Thousands of devotees visit daily seeking blessings of wealth, prosperity, and well-being. The temple is especially vibrant during Navratri, when grand celebrations attract lakhs of devotees.
